This small, romantic courtyard is divided into two areas. On thin wooden decking, a white table with a matching parasol presides over the space closest to the house. Across the yard, potted flowers gracefully decorate the entrance to a small studio. A wrought-iron bench that has been painted white adds a touch of nostalgia.

The creepers that tumble down the walls simply and effectively beautify the patio. Make sure that the ivy grows in a shady spot, as it does not do well in excessive light.

Ceramic pots are porous, which makes moisture levels easier to control. Also, they do not get as hot as plastic pots.

The wrought-iron shelf and bench go well together, and the white flowers help the combination of the two colors to work.
