J. B. Hoskins
My Dear Mrs. Hoskins,
This is a very interesting story, I'm sure, but hardly for us. Your portrayal of the protagonist as a rigidly moral, unbending colored man who is shattered by a cruel remark by a voluptuous but depraved white siren seems more appropriate to the confessional market.
And "Slimea" is a rather odd name for a woman, don't you think?
Regretfully,
