Una recomendación literaria poco novedosa. La Soledad de los números primos está siendo una de las grandes revelaciones literarias del año. Arrasó el año pasado en Italia con más de un millón de ejemplares vendidos y su salto a España no está desentonando. Está ya entre los 3-4 libros más vendidos del año, compitiendo con sagas del tirón de la Millenium de Stieg Larsson o la saga de Crepúsculo, o pesos pesados de la literatura patria como el último libro de Pérez Reverte, lo que ya tiene su mérito.

Con este libro está funcionando el boca oreja. Admito que no ha sido mi caso. No lo digo porque quiera quedar de guay y decir que nadie me lo ha recomendado sino que yo lo he descubierto antes que el resto de la humanidad… Sino que fue hace cosa de un mes y algo cuando, un domingo pillé en La2 de TVE, Página 2, el programa literario de la pública, y justamente coincidió que emitieron una entrevista con el autor, Paolo Giordano, que presentaba en España su libro, recién editado por Salamandra. Me llamó la atención la historia y el autor. ¿Por qué? El chico es de la "quinta" de mi hermano, casi de mi edad, tenía una conversación interesante y una personalidad atractiva. Un licenciado en teoría física que se dedica a escribir. Lo cual puede resultar chocante, pero muy "lógico" a la vez. Responde a mi ideal de ciencias del conocimiento relacionadas. Cada vez lo veo más claro, no tiene sentido separar las ramas del conocimiento, así no se puede llegar realmente a una comprensión de la realidad. El tema es que me compré el libro al día siguiente y lo devoré en dos tardes. Es un libro no excesivamente largo: unas 300 páginas o así, pero sobre todo, su lectura es veloz, poco texto, capítulos muy cortos y una historia que capta la atención del lector y le mantiene en tensión. Muy recomendable.
